Concord Area Music School Association, known as CAMSA, is a non-profit, volunteer organization founded by parents and teachers in 1969. It is run by private music teachers dedicated to encouraging and expanding musical opportunities for their students. Members and participants are from Concord, Massachusetts and surrounding communities.
CAMSA provides a cooperative network for the area's many private music teachers, who gain mutual insight and inspiration for their professional lives. CAMSA hosts numerous student workshops throughout the school year, an annual Student Concerto Concert, and an annual Honors Recital.
CAMSA's principal activity is the workshops for student musicians to practice performing their current repertoire for an audience of peers, parents, and teachers. These workshops include all levels of students, instrumentalists and vocalists. There are also occasional workshops for adult students.
